Twelve Cupcakes is finally here in Jakarta!

Well, clearly the outlet has been spreading all over Jakarta for quite some time, even before this entry, I have personally bought and tried some of their lovely cupcakes for birthday occasions. Hey, cupcakes are the new birthday cakes!

Do you guys know that Twelve Cupcakes is actually a brand from Singapore, even from 2011 and pretty popular there (and now in Jakarta)? Well, if you didn't know that before, you're welcome!

They gave me the chance to try out a dozen of their finest cupcakes selections, including the best sellers and monthly special. Talking about it, each month, Twelve Cupcakes is releasing three variants as their "special cupcakes" and they indeed special and unique because the team just loves to play around with flavors so we don't get too bored with the common flavors you can find almost anywhere. Bravo.

I have always loved cupcakes, but I gotta admit, I don't always have nice experience with cupcakes, there are some that I just want to throw away after the first bite, some were just okay but some were really impressive, and most of Twelve Cupcakes' cupcakes are in my "impressive" list! In a nutshell, their cupcakes are moist, fluffy, rich in flavor, tasty and smooth in the same time, don't forget the generous icing flavor on top of the cupcakes, just ends up making you crave for more! They're quite there yet in my standard!

Here are some of the cupcakes that I got to taste, and this first one happens to be the special of the month: Banana Nutella! I found myself a new love for cupcake! This one is exactly how you spell DELICIOUS! Loving the scent of banana compiling with the rich flavor of chocolate and Nutella. Heaven! I gotta admit Twelve Cupcakes is currently the king of "chocolate" cupcakes, sort of spongy and mud-cake like consistency. LOVE IT!

*FYI, shooting these cupcakes were such a pain in the stomach, once I opened the box, they were really fragrant!*

Rainbow Vanilla

Loving the Vanilla cream on top, you can find hint of cheese infused to the cream, not a big fan of cheese but this one is still very tolerable for me.

Strawberry Chocolate

That unperfect looking cupcake just made me realize how I can't wait any longer to have a bite! Me fond of the strawberry cream. The whole composition of strawberry and chocolate mix well!

Peanut Butter Chocolate

I must say that I am fond of most Twelve Cupcakes' chocolate cupcakes, especially this one, one of my personal favorites. I worship the hell outta Peanut Butter and this one dances really joyfully in the mouth. BLAAAH!!!

Chocolate Chocolate

You just can't say no to double strikes of chocolate!

Peanut Butter Jelly

Another personal favorite of mine, Peanut Butter Jelly. Doesn't matter if you make a cake, cupcake or as simple as toasts, PBJ just never fails to leave a smile on my face <3.

Chocolate Vanilla

This one is probably the simplest one and kid proper looking (read: cute), this one is pretty decent.

Mocha

If you love a hint of coffee in your cupcake, this one might be in for you! Since it's Mocha, there'll be a little glimpse of chocolate flavor infused to the cream. 

Strawberry Vanilla

This one may not be my favorite, but it's just simply good and common. Strawberry with Vanilla :).

Oreo, Cookies and Cream

Another personal favorite: COOKIES AND CREAM! Doesn't need to explain more on the chocolate cupcake: lovely it is, the cream is really decent and I love that the cookies on top is (infact) smooth and soft!

Red Velvet Cupcake

This one is pretty mainstream but luckily, Twelve Cupcakes manages to take care of the flavor and quality, so that the cupcake does taste as sweet as it looks. For me, this one is really good for a red velvet cupcake.

Vanilla Chocolate

The mixture of vanilla and chocolate is pretty common, but this one is simply great. When the chocolate cupcake is the base cupcake, you probably won't find it bad :).

It was such joy and painful in the same time shooting these cupcakes! My favorite part was obviously give them a try, I don't give a damn how many calories went into my system. These cute little devils just made me smile like idiots! I love how they're really moist, tasty, fragrant and pretty! I just love them and I can't explain enough. Beware cupcakes in Jakarta, this might be one of your strong contenders!

If you ask me to name 5 of my favorites, they would be: Banana Nutella, Chocolate Chocolate, Red Velvet, Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter Jelly and Peanut Butter Chocolate!

Each cupcake's sold for IDR 20k, for the purchase of half-dozen, you'll get the special price for IDR 115k and for the whole dozen, it would be IDR 220k. You can find their outlets in hip malls in Jakarta such as Central Park, Kuningan City, Kota Kasablanka, Pondok Indah Mall (Street Gallery) and soon in Pacific Place, Green Bay Walk and Emporium Pluit.
