There’s something about Paris that’s so charming. It was indeed one of the most vibrant cities I’ve ever been, and it was beautiful. Must admit several things were under and above my expectations, but I think that’s very normal as nothing really is perfect, but one thing for sure, Paris is a city made for the eye and *ahem* Instagram, it’s almost impossible to take bad shots of basically everything related to this city.
1. TOUR DE EIFFEL
Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France
Eiffel tower is Paris’ most iconic landmark! This ginormous 300m beauty stood gracefully and charming enough to be easily noticable from many parts of the city. Getting to the Tour De Eiffel is relatively easy, and when in Paris, just take the metro as it’s very easy to tour around the arrondissement, effective and probably the cheapest transportation alternative (1.5 euro per ride). You can take the Line no 6 to “Bir-Hakeim” or the Line no 9 to “Trocadero”. Both stops are different in terms of view but equally beautiful! You’ll get the closer view of the tower and for a short moment, experience the metro running above the river when you take the Line no 6 (Bir-Hakeim), and...(read number 2)
Purchase the ticket (15 euro) to reach the observation deck and you can experience the 360 degrees beautiful Paris landscape!
2. TROCADERO
Instagram-sake wise, I think more people will choose to stop at Trocadero even though they have to walk more, as this is what they’ll get not far from the station:
THE ICONIC STAIRS WITH
EIFFEL TOWER ON THE BACKGROUND!
If you
really want to have a clean shot with no people on the background you HAVE TO
wake up early and reach this place by latest 8 AM!
3. LE PALAIS ROYAL
8 Rue
de Montpensier, 75001 Paris, France
Pre-weddings
are everyday scene here in Paris! Everyone goes to the city of love to capture
their important moments!
Le Palais Royal is Paris’ royal palace located at the Saint Honore area, this place is beauitful yet quirky with touch of art here and there like the concrete cylinders, or simply its beautiful Victorian style surrounding! This place is just so photogenic and perfect for lazy and chill days! Le Palais Royal is also surrounded with good cafes and a park nearby, pay a visit to the Cafe Kitsune, a petite coffee shop for a good caffeine boost.
4. ARC DE TRIOMPHE
Place Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris, Prancis
Ticket price: 9.5 euro/adult, 8 euro/student
Arc de Triomphe is definitely one of Paris’ most iconic landmark, the walk to reach the top of this monument was quite brutal as they didn’t have any elevator and the round stair was narrow and packed with people, I was actually quite tired but I just couldn’t stop as I had people waiting at the back, if you’re not a hiker/walker, I wouldn’t recommend going, but for those who don’t mind, this is what you’ll get after the walk.

5. HOTEL DE VILLE
Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, 75004 Paris, France
I naively thought that this was really a hotel, turned out it was actually the city’s administrative department office, visitors are more than welcome to tour the complex and take pictures. I suggest going here during the golden hour, the lighting was the most beautiful: hard warm light with beautiful hard shadow.
6. MUSEE DU LOUVRE
75001 Paris, France
Paris is so beautiful and touristy, almost everywhere you go seems touristy as it’s always packed with people: locals and tourists. The Musee de Louvre (Louvre museum) is one of the must visits here in Paris, as touristy as you think it is, still, it’s a Paris to do. The complex was this spacious area surrounded with the Victorian style museum building, several triangle-prism glass buildings on the center, everything was just perfectly placed for pictures. Told you it’s almost impossible to take bad pictures in Paris!
7. PRINTEMPS HAUSSMANN ROOFTOP
64 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris, France
This was an interesting finding by my friend, Reinaldo (whose blog you HAVE TO check, sick pictures!). This was actually a cafe located above the Printemps department store at the Haussmann boulevard, it’s a bit tricky to find this cafe, and since I met Parisians who can’t really speak english they couldn’t really show me the way, but once we found this spot, our eyes were in for a treat, beautiful Paris city landscape from above! Fashion enthusiasts would be more than happy to pose for an OOTD here.
8. FOUNTAIN DE LA CONCORDE
I wouldn’t say that this is a super photogenic area, but once you’re in Paris (especially a first timer), it’s cool to check Paris’ most iconic fountain! Few shots here won’t hurt.
6th arrondissement of Paris, 75006 Paris, France
If you’re a park or garden person, you are going to fall for this! BIG TIME! It’s basically like entering the other side of Paris: the greener and earthier one. Jardin du Luxembourg is just perfect for summer days, where the flowers bloom! You should check Paris’ rose and peonies. Europe countries are blessed with perfect weather and nature for gorgeous blooms!

10. BASICALLY EVERYWHERE IN
PARISThe thing is, when you actually travel outside your own hometown, you’ll understand why all the money you invest on your cameras and stuff seem so worth it! The city is suddenly different, the sky is different and clearer, the ambiance is different, and the light is like your dream. I LOVE encouraging people to travel, travelling really makes you feel like life is beautiful. If only travelling was free, you’ll never see me again!
I am
taking this moment to mourn on the unfortunate attack that occured in Paris a
few days ago. Let us all pray for the world #prayforparis #prayfortheworld
