KAKOLAIT GADING SERPONG

Earlier today, I went to the launching of Kakolait cafe at Gading Serpong, it's a chocolate specialist cafe serving mainly chocolate drinks and desserts, it's strategically located at Ki Hajar Dewantara road at Gading Serpong around Turning Point coffee and precisely beside the freshly opened Cotive. Do note that they will start operating on October 17th 2016! So there's still around one week to do diet!

The outlet was not exactly spacious, but nicely designed with this homey with a bit of industrial touch & earthy tone to it but overall neat. As for their menu, they heavily highlight their artisan dark and milk chocolate drink as the champ here, also various options of fruity iced drinks, Belgian waffles, molten chocolate cakes with price ranging from IDR 25k-50k. Very affordable!
Hot Chocolate - IDR 35k (regular), IDR 45k (with toppings: marshmallow, crunchy chocolate)
Their hot chocolate drinks are among the best ones I can find in town and already in the "very good" state for Jakarta and Tangerang standard. You can't just compare this to the very thick ones like Angelina or Max Brenner as I think they're on another level (and another level of price range too LOL). IDR 35k for a heartwarming cup of good hot chocolate is quite affordable (additional IDR 10k for marshmallow or crunchy chocolate topping) and there are options of milk and dark chocolate to choose. I was super fond of the creamy smooth texture of the hot chocolate (with clean aftertaste too) and I found myself liking the dark chocolate better than the milk chocolate (a thin difference actually).
If you fancy chilled version of it, you can opt for the iced chocolate, well I didn't try it but I had a good feeling the hot chocolate will taste better than the iced version (judging from my experience and I don't know how to verbally explain it to you guys).
Belgian Waffle - IDR 45k (with milk chocolate/dark chocolate dressing)
I might like the crunchy, moist and airy kind of waffle better but theirs was nowhere near bad. Their Belgian waffle was the more cakey one and I highly suggest you have it fresh as soon as they're served on your tables! The chocolate dressing was top notch with mini marshmallows, fruits (banana & strawberry) and tasty vanilla ice cream to top it off!
Molten Chocolate Cake - IDR 45k
Their molten chocolate cake is really nice and my top recommendation here. It was cooked perfectly and even after all the gooey chocolate goodness, I still found the overall flavor perfectly sweet without bloating my palate. You'll find a hint of caramel flavor on each scoop (even though it's 100% chocolate).
Won't say much, definitely one of the best chocolate focused cafe you can find in town at the moment. It's classy, it's humble and it's qualified.
