AMKC is now officially opened for public, and guess who’s very excited about it? ME! Came here earlier today with my dear friend, Yenny from YennyMakanMulu to have lunch.

AMKC is the brainchild of Adhika Maxi and Karen Carlotta, if you’ve heard about them before, they are the husband and wife couple aka masterminds of the very successful UNION, or should I say the pioneer of all these fancy restaurants and cafes you see growing in town. Back in 2009, before UNION was even established, the couple started AMKC which catered a private dining experience, fast forward a few years later, along with passion as strong as ever and a good place for a deal, this brand new place located in Plaza Indonesia is a fresh hot baby, but instead of being fed, they feed our hunger and quench the thirst for good French inspired cuisine.
Benedict Jakarta just launched their newest menus and they’re like A LOT, but I managed to sample some of their artisan indulgence on a lunch date a few days ago. I have revealed (and raved) about the lunch and gave some exclusive sneakpeek on my Snapchat, so if you haven’t followed me, that’s your loss :p

The new menus were interesting, and I was captivated by the charm of the food, it was something I never had nor expected Benedict to come with. Flavor and presentation wise, interesting, some of the menus even worth calling Benedict a casual fine dining restaurant, but the thing is I don’t think they’re aiming to be one.
Lately the number of Martabak cafes in Jakarta is growing quite rapidly and it has been easier to grab martabak, but the thing is, I notice most of them are pretty commons, some might sell the simple and good old martabak with the mainstream toppings, only a few of them actually have unique selling point, which should be something that they consider, but truth is, to be fair no matter how mainstream it is, most of the times I always manage to finish the last piece of martabak, and feeling guilty after, but I have a good news for you, and that's exactly the thing about this newly opened martabak shop is about: Martabak Warisan in T.B. Simatupang!
A few days ago I did a little research just for myself, I noticed that last month (in January 2016), I received like bizillion Martabak stores opening, and it got me wondering exactly how many new martabak shops opening every month, well the answer may vary to each month, but I looked at those that tagged me on Instagram, the number of invitations and an info from a friend, last month alone, there are 6 new martabak stores opening in Jakarta! Remember, the number may vary, I might never know the exact number.

The following name might be one of the most anticipated restaurants opening in town: RUTH’S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE.
Ruth Chris’ Steak House first came to the scene in 1965 at New Orleans by the founder herself, Ruth Fertel. More than 5 decades later, the vision is still as solid as ever, and the business, well... stronger than ever with outlets located in New Orleans, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and now, Jakarta!
For the last few years, ice cream - whether in form of traditional gelato to soft-serve -- has contributed so much to Jakarta’s F&B scene, and the number of ice cream shops opening in town is just getting crazier, and the creations are even more! Ice cream might be dominating the f&b scene at the moment, but the thing is, they have been an important part of my life, especially my childhood, and no matter what, the good old gelato has always been my favorite.
Yesterday I attended the weekend brunch held at St. Ali Jakarta by the Tourism of Victoria, there was a lot of fun as the event was filled with so many foodie friends, coffee knowledge and showcases, and a lot of eating (of course). You know those events where it’s filled with friends and mutuals, and makes you feel belong in an event and this was it.
OMG it's that day again! Two weeks from now the whole world is about to celebrate another round of what could be the happiest or the saddest day in their life. It's FREAKING VALENTINE'S DAY!

I don't know about you, but I am like VERY single and I did have that sad moments where I really want to have someone who love me and vice versa, especially when I am travelling solo, but you know what, I don't wanna stress about it anymore, and I think staying busy and have a lot in your plate can really distract you from thinking about it, well that works for me!

Who else here love green tea as much as I do?

I couldn’t exactly remember the first time I started to have more interest towards green tea, because honestly, when I was a little, I did not.
