BAKE CHEESE TART INDONESIA - GRAND INDONESIA
Okay now this is exciting: the famous BAKE CHEESE TART is finally opening in Indonesia with Jakarta (particularly Grand Indonesia) being where the first outlet is located the country! The cheese cake and tarts trend is really booming here in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta and the amount of new businesses focusing on this particular product is really getting a bit insane! I remember when it hasn't opened in Singapore, the only place where I could buy their cheese tarts is in Hong Kong (and last year I happened to visit Hong Kong more often than Bangkok), and in certain ways I am so glad that more and more famous foreign food businesses are coming to Jakarta and expand here, making it super accessible for us to purchase their stuff.
I just came back from the exclusive preview event and I am super excited to blog about this, especially since they're opening in four days! I'm going to make this post short but delivering the main points along the way.
The event was held in Publik Markette Grand Indonesia, it was a casual lunch gathering with the purpose of giving the bloggers and influencers the exclusive preview of their product (aka me being one of the first to sample their products before they're being sold to the public). If you're not familiar with BAKE, their cheese tarts kind is one with crunchy-crumbly coating, moist custardy mousse filling (almost velvety fluffy) and normally served warm (but I've heard it's also pretty decent when served chilled). The cheese tarts can last up to three days in the fridge and up to one month when kept in freezer, but recommended to consume on the same day of purchase, and if you want to reheat they suggest keeping it in the oven for around 3 minutes.
Unfortunately we didn't have the access to explore the whole outlet (as they're currently still on the training session) so we took pictures from outside the outlet and each of us was generously complimented with one box of their cheese tarts to bring home! Thank you very much for the generosity!!!
I believe you guys are wondering about the pricing! Each cheese tart is going to be sold at IDR 29k/piece and IDR 165k (box of 6), what you need to know about their cheese tart is that they are using 4 kinds of cheese to make the cheese mousse and they claim to use the finest ingredients from Hokkaido! As for the tart crust, it's made from cookies and they double-bake it to make it crunchier (once just as cookies and the second one together with the cheese mousse).
I think everyone has their own preference when it comes to favorite cheese tarts, theirs was among the first ones that I've tried even before the trend starts going crazy here and to know which one is your favorite the only way to know is to sample and compare, short to say theirs was among the top ones on my personal list. If you really like uber cheesy and creamy consistency, and altogether melodiously come with the proper balance then you're probably going to like this one better.
Welcome to Indonesia and the best of luck goes out to you, BAKE! OMG I can sense that the queue will be insane this weekend!
