As you guys probably know, I just came back from my fantastic trip in Australia and I am now missing it very much, especially Melbourne! I don't know, I just feel like Melbourne is so me, but I'm not going to talk much about it right now, there will be so many posts about the trip, so make sure you stay tuned and going to keep you guys updated!
Galeries Lafayette is coming to Pacific Place Mall Jakarta and the opening of the (currently) hippest department store in Jakarta doesn't only bring up the fashion scene, but the culinary section as well. The new talk about French restaurant in town is called Liberte French Brasserie, and it's ready to please Jakarta's beasts for feast!

Located at the second level of Pacific Place and inside Galeries Lafayette, Liberte features a medium spaced area with warm interior and pretty deco. Each table is set with simplicity and elegance with fresh flowers and white table clothing, the access to the outdoor view from the window makes it even better. The concept reminds me of the French cafes in the movies with a little touch of class and expensiveness.

I guess the whole area looks more alive during the day which makes it perfect for lunch. I love looking at the pretty fresh flowers, the white table decoration and all blend together creating an area that's filled such a warm and loving ambiance. It's probably one of the most simple, yet lovable restaurant's interior I've seen in Jakarta.

Since the interior's already succeed to impress me, the food better be freaking good.

French Toasts (free complimentary)
Surprisingly, the bread is quite moist, guessing it's baked along with olive oil.

Watermelon Rosemary Vitamin Water
IDR 72k (for four people)
This pretty looking drink is served inside an Aurum pitcher. It tastes like water with additional fruit extract, at certain notes, this drink tastes in between bland, sour, but fragrant as well.

Iced Lychee Tea
IDR 38k
Do I need to explain how Lychee Tea tastes like? This one is goddamn refreshing and the Lychee syrup is freaking generous.

Beer Battered Fish and Chips
IDR 72k
From the presentation, I was freaking mouthwatered, but unfortunately, to be honest this was a disappointment because the fish and the fries were extremely oily, I even use fork to press the oil out of the fries. However, the fish's coat was cooked really well, but the fish was lack of seasoning and slightly bland.

Chicken Roulade
IDR 80k
Despite the unfortunate Fish and Chips, this one brought up the mood! The Chicken Roulade was in the other hand freaking delish. The chicken's really tender, the skin's golden crispy and the stuffing was good.

Roasted Chicken
IDR 80k
Gotta give it to Liberte for their Chicken courses because they know how to cook chicken properly! This was again a nice course where the chicken's cooked perfectly leaving it tender and super juicy. I mean, just look at that glazed chicken reflecting the daylight! Looks can be deceiving but this one's good. Anyway, you can change the rice to fries or vice versa.

Chicken Cordon Bleu
IDR 90k
I've declared that Liberte's doing pretty well with the Chicken courses and this one is no exception. Another great dish, the presentation's pretty. The only problem might be the portion. For 90k (don't forget the tax), you probably expect for something slightly bigger than this :).

To sum it up, my visit to Liberte was good, in a way unique because I tend to love the interior more than the food, however, the Fish and Chips seriously needs a "makeover", I'll spare time to have another lunch here because I have this feeling that the Fish and Chips has a huge potential to be really good, and I heard they have superb Duck Confit. No other comments about the Chicken courses for they're good!

If you wanna have a slightly fancier lunch with your friends, consider Liberte as your pick.

This new joint in Gunawarman caught my attention from the very first time it's being introduced to the public in late July, and I knew I need to go here, and a few days ago, together with Aline from Foolosophy, we feasted up here. This post was actually a back to back with my previous post, before we're having our dinner here, we went to Cacaote Senopati to fulfil our sweet tooth cravings before becoming baboons. We had our dinner at 10 freaking PM! I'm sorry tummy. Happy feelings don't always mean a happy belly (read: fat) *stressed*

Anyway, Le Quartier which by the way means "The Neighborhood" is a french restaurant with the concept of casual fine dining. This restaurant's found by Chris Janssens, a restaurateur who also owns Ninety Nine Cafe and Cassis.

Since we went here by night, I couldn't give you a clear view of the exterior, but getting here's not hard at all. You'll see a pretty huge "Le Quartier" signboard, also blue and white color blocking house-like building. It's just beside the Loobie Lobster if you're aware of that. If you don't then turn on your freaking GPS and stop being lazy *sarcastic*.

The interior rings vintage with a touch of modern and you'll notice predominantly wood material from the chairs and the tables, and there's also chandeliers to keep the elegance alive. The ambiance during the night was mild and lovely. I guess it's perfect for dinner time with your loved ones.

Complimentary Bread
The complimentary bread made such a perfect lover to the courses we ordered. They're coming real soon!

The Olive oil was really fragrant and the butter just melts in your mouth. Pleasure for the mouth. Love!

Iced Pomelo and Lychee Soda
IDR 38k (before tax)
A refreshing drink for the night. Shoulda ordered a nice warm drink because the place's really cold during the night, especially the restroom. Man, the restroom's decorated to be hotel like and it even has air-conditioning inside the restroom.

Butterflied Chicken (served with Roasted Potatoes, Roasted Tomatoes, Eggplants)
IDR 116k
Can I just cut the crap and say that this is probably one of the yummiest chicken course I've had ever? Everything about it's such a perfection! The tenderness of the meat, the roasted sides, the seasoning, the sauce, everything is just lovely. For a 116k, this worths every peny and even still worth it if it's a little more expensive. FYI this is a large portion (whole chicken), you can share up to three people. Worth it eh?!

Pan Seared Barramundi
IDR 116k
Also on the same price and the same awesomeness. This highly recommended menu is such a lovely course. The Barramundi's really fresh, cooked perfectly without any fishy stink anywhere around, and the skin's cooked to be very crisp. The sauce used here, hmm, didn't think of anything better than this yet. Not only pretty looking but it's a total foodgasm!

I was super satisfied by my visit to Le Quartier. Sure will be coming back for lunch. My standard of satisfaction is if I can both have a wonderful lunch and dinner, as well as having the ambiance of having lunch and dinner, trust me, the vibe is different... and if matters, capturing it. Will I recommend this? Sure do! Don't hesitate coming here, won't regret it, well, at least if you happen to choose what I chose LOL :).

Shoo for now! Thanks for reading!!!

This new joint in Gunawarman caught my attention from the very first time it's being introduced to the public in late July, and I knew...
Last Saturday was such a happy day!!! Why?

Because two important girls in my life were having their birthday!!!

Before I start reviewing, I want to give this to Karina Astria for treating me and a few friends on her birthday at this new fancy restaurant in Central Park. I just want to greet you the coolest happiest loveliest life you can ever have and thank you for the friendship so far :). Friendship means the world.

Luciole Bistro is a brand new french themed restaurant opening in Central Park and it's located just across Nanny's Pavillon and Starbucks SOGO. I adore restaurants like this, like this by meaning that it has its own building, not parts of the mall interiors. I just love looking (and entering) fancy looking restaurants. This restaurant is pretty eye catching due to the lamps, especially by night.

Here are some photos of the exterior and interior to give you the idea of the restaurant so you won't get lost when you go here (which I'm pretty sure you won't).

I love how hanging lamps look in a restaurant, they just add up the prettiness level to 100%.

Colored checkboards floor. Very vintage.

They also have a minibar inside, and oh yeah if you love to drink, this restaurant also serves you beers and cocktails or certain kinds of alcohol drinks, but if you prefer a lighter drink with no alcohol, you can also try their lovely mocktails or smoothies like I did!

Even though I didn't order any alcohol drinks (and I also dislike them), but I looked at their menu (which is very well designed), I still think that the drinks are still affordable.

This is their menu. I am a graphic design student and I just love a classy, in the same time fun looking menu design and this is certainly one of it, I love the blue color they're using right here. Daebak!

Another awesome illustration <3.

Okay I'm going to finish the opening and go straight to the food, because I know you guys love the food more than me :"( *overrated drama.

Let's start with my choice of food. I was torn between "Pan Seared Red Snapper" and this delicious looking burger. I was looking for something heavier because I haven't eaten anything since the lunch. Well, I end up choosing the burger eventually after I saw the servant took this dish out for other costumers.

Anyway, I want to say sorry for the pictures if they tend to have yellow tones, that's because I took the photos on dinner time with very low lights and my light source is probably the hanging lamps (which were yellow), see the picture above.

Luciole House Burger
IDR 60.000 (before tax)

Everything about the filling of this burger is so yummy, I just wish that the burger buns would be softer. I already told this issue to someone (not sure if she's a PR or the manager), who was very friendly and polite.

I wanna rape this burger my gosh!

This burger has eggs, gorgeous beef patty and fresh vegetables dressing. I kinda like the caramelized onion hidden underneath the egg, it adds something different to the dish. Somehow fits my asian tooth, you know when a burger gets too western.

Shanghai Moon
IDR 39.000 (before tax)

My choice of beverage, it's the mixture of fresh fruits and soda. LOVIN IT SO FRESH!

Spaghetti Carbonara
IDR 59.000 (before tax)

This pasta is good, but nothing really special, you can consider this one if you're planning to have pasta for your dinner.

Lobster Thermidor Spaghetti
IDR 74.000 (before tax)

You'll find a huge hint of lobster (and somehow crab) scent if your order this, and since I love seafood, I just feel like it actually adds up my sense of appetite :). On the other hand, the cream is also light but very tasty, this dish is also another worth to try menu. I personally like this one.

Pan Roasted Chicken with Potato Lasagna
IDR 55.000

I wanna rape this chicken!!! fffuuuu
and beside it's also the best presentation overall! Does it taste as gorgeous as it looks? YES!

I think da'bomb is the Potato Lasagna, it's just genius and I love the usage of cherry tomatoes and tomato sauce as garnish. The chicken is also well seasoned. I really hope you could try this for yourself.

Hot Honey Lemon Tea
IDR 27.500

What's a fancy dinner without a little touch of dessert?
We ordered this whole round of Apple Tart for us to share, this apple tart is also delicious, gotta give it to them for including one scoop of vanilla ice cream to make everything better.

Apple Tart
IDR 35.000 (before tax)

DELICIOUS! Y'all know how much I adore texture on a food! This dessert certainly got it, the crisp, the melts, the yum, the tenderness. I actually wanted to try their signature pie but I've had enough for that day. Maybe next visit I will. MELTS IN YA MOUTH!

The bill was IDR 490.000 for 4 heads.

Overall as conclusion, I think Luciole is a good newcomer to watch for, not only that it's located at one of the most crowded mall in Jakarta, it also has a cute medium size venue plus the great food, according to what I've tasted so far. I think this place is just perfect for dinner with your best friends or your lover, I suggest you to ask for a set near the window because you'll have Tribeca Park as your view, it can get seriously romantic.
