There are not a lot of gourmet burger houses in Jakarta so it's quite easy for me to refer to when people ask me where to have good burgers in Jakarta. The Republic of Burger is definitely on that top part of my list. A week ago, I took my brother to have lunch at their Kemang branch (which has been around for a year +), they have several outlets spread around town, but the Kemang branch is personally the one that I like the most, it might not the most spacious, but has access to the warm daylight (if you're lucky getting the seat by the window), and somehow more spacious than their previous Cipete outlet.

If you are burger enthusiasts, be happy to face the fact that more and more gourmet burger joints are opening in town, they might not always be in the form of actual outlet, some prefer the fun and unique food trucks, but in whatever form that is, I always burgers my kriptonyte. Flashback to many years ago, the actual burger that I like besides McD's Fillet O'Fish (which by the way is BACK), and the one I used to call "mobile burger", it's mobile because the burgerman drove the stall along with the bicycle and I remember I was always so anticipated and excited with his coming, whenever I hear the trumpet, I would just ask money from my mom (I sometimes even stole, but I was too little to know that I was stealing LOL). It was cheap, and satifying, and now that I am older, it was actually not cooked properly and rather dirty, oh well memories :).

It’s not a secret that I love exploring food, I think when you actually let yourself open to any restaurant, dining scene & concept, it could be one of the most unforgettable moment in your life. I’ve had quite a few unforgettable - some more like unbebloddylivable - culinary experience, some I haven’t got the chance to write, but truthfully, I would love to share it, please be more patient!!!
