TSUBOHACHI IZAKAYA PANTAI INDAH KAPUK - JAKARTA
Avid
Japanese cuisine fan should not miss this newly opened Japanese Izakaya
restaurant all the way from Hokkaido Japan. Let’s give a warm heartwarming
welcome to Tsubohachi Izakaya!
Tsubohachi is a famous Japanese restaurant chain in Japan with 300 outlets spread all over Japan, and after spreading its outlets to our neighbor countries such as Singapore and Malaysia, a month ago (as this post is written), Jakarta is its next home hoping to spread the love for Japanese food. Izakaya style dining is their main food concept here, so expect to have casual time with friends, take away all the seriousness and have fun here, because the only thing that’s serious about Tsubohachi is the good food, uh keep reading.
I heard their Japan outlets are way more casual than the particular in Jakarta. Here it’s been transformed to this nicely designed family style restaurant. The interior had this modern Japanese vibe to it with just a hint of industrial vibe, it’s neat and bright during the day (and packed too)
As the common Izakaya style restaurants, here you can find selections of skewers (yakitori), Japanese appetizers, main courses, desserts and more. The menu range here is quite various and all ingredient here is imported straight from Japan.
This is going to be a brief review of my short visit to Tsubohachi.
Ramen Salad
Simple and fresh salad with ramen and goma dressing.
Sashimi Roppinmori – IDR 300k
Fresh assorted sashimi placed beautifully is a large boat shaped plate. THE BOMB here has got to be the uber soft and sweet prawn, well not exactly sweet-sweet, but the fresh prawn has this natural sweetness to it as soon as the very first bite. The salmon was my second favorite, everything here was actually pretty fresh!
Here you can find their signature yakitori with beautiful flavors and friendly price tag. My favorite ones include the chicken, chicken skin, beef and pork belly.
A sweet closure to my enjoyable lunch. Mochi paired with ogura and one scoop of tasty vanilla ice cream served in stone pot.
I always find myself getting slightly happier when I find another good Japanese restaurant. I am an avid fan of Japanese cuisine, and when I can find a good one, even more the authentic good one, I am just... thrilled. Tsubohachi is totally recommended: good food, good ambiance, good service, and you should be happy.
I will definitely go back to give a more in-depth review.
